Buzzworthy News

You know that smell when someone’s grilling and it stops you in your tracks? Multiply that by twelve and add a salad bar. Casa do Brasil is finally opening in Waco, and we are here for the meat parade. Starting Tuesday, April 29, Waco’s own Brazilian steakhouse will be slicing up a nonstop Rodizio feast — think perfectly seasoned cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, and pork, all carved tableside by chefs who mean business. Add in a salad bar that could double as an art installation and you've got a one-way ticket to food coma paradise.

🍹 Bonus: They've got happy hour, brunch, and live music. Basically, you're going to want to move in. Reservations are already filling up: Book here

🎂 Hotel Herringbone Hits One Year Old (But Parties Like It's 1999)

Can you believe it was just a couple years ago that we were staring at that giant Lego-block-looking building wondering what in the world is this going to be? Fast forward to today — Hotel Herringbone has become a downtown staple with Red Herring, Sendero Provisions, live music, and one of the most best front porch patios in town.

Friday, from 4 PM till almost midnight, the hotel is throwing a birthday bash to celebrate one year of good vibes and great stays. Expect food trucks, live music, local vendors, and enough patio lights to make you feel like you’re on vacation without ever leaving the 254. The event is free to attend and VIP passes can be purchased here.

🎙️ A Killer Date Night with Claire St. Amant

Waco’s own Claire St. Amant — the journalist behind hit true crime podcast Final Days on Earth — is hosting a live show this Friday at Southern Roots. Expect chilling stories, dark humor, and a peek behind the scenes of her investigations. Opening the night: local favorites Bloody Happy Hour with their true crime-meets-comedy. This event is Friday night from 6-11 PM. Grab tickets here.
