Legendary sportscaster Verne Lundquist, a 2005 Texas Sports Hall of Fame inductee, will guest speak at the Lone Star Luncheon on Nov. 7. With over 54 years in broadcasting, "Uncle Verne" will recount iconic moments like Jack Nicklaus’ 1986 Masters birdie and Christian Laettner’s buzzer-beater (or possibly his role in Happy Gilmore). 🍺Bare Arms Brewery, Waco’s oldest brewery, is moving to a new location in The Heights Garden development at 3800 Loop 340, set to open in early 2025. The new 10,000-square-foot space will feature an air-conditioned brewhouse, taproom, beer garden, and more. Robinson Mayor Bert Echterling celebrated the move, saying it marks Robinson's growth into a thriving community. Until then, Bare Arms will continue operations at its current location.
