On Sunday, Opal’s is rolling out an Easter Brunch Buffet like no other: buttery lobster rolls, a chef-attended carving station, brunch favorites done right, and maybe a lemon drop (or two).

It’s Easter weekend in Waco — a time when families gather in churches across the city to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just a reminder that on Sunday Target, H-E-B, Aldi, Sam’s Club, and Chipotle will be closed on Sunday, so plan those grocery runs and takeout orders accordingly.

🎭 Waco Civic Theatre Remembers Win Emmons III
Waco Civic Theatre is mourning the loss of Win Emmons III, longtime board vice president and a beloved figure in the local arts community. Emmons brought decades of passion, service, and joy to the stage — from building sets and leading productions to delivering heartfelt performances.

“He just lit up the stage,” said patron Bart Cox. “If they could rename it, it’d be the ‘Win Emmons Theater.’”

Executive Director Kelley MacGregor called him “a hilarious and stoic man. There was no one like him.” His legacy will live on in every curtain call.

Next Tuesday, April 22, Creative Waco and Milo All Day are teaming up for an unforgettable evening of food, music, and creative spirit. This isn’t just a dinner — it’s a celebration of what happens when vision, flavor, and community all show up at the same table.

“This is about more than great food and drink,” said Fiona Bond, director of Creative Waco. “It’s a celebration of what’s possible when creativity and community fuel one another.”

Tickets benefit local creative initiatives and include a multi-course meal, drinks, and live entertainment.
