Good morning, Waco. This is the inside scoop of Waco, where we serve hot and fresh Waco news like the teriyaki stand at the food court…and we never give you the look for coming back twice.

In today’s issue:

  • A Mac and Cheese Festival😊😊

  • Amnesty and parking tickets. 🚙🚙

  • Tomorrow is National Slurpee Day. 🎉🎉

Let’s get to it.

Question: A famous comedic actor was born and raised in Waco. That said, he is a bit of a “Jerk.”
- Martin Short
- Dan Akroyd
- Steve Martin
- Steve Buscemi
Answer is at the bottom of this email.

The Digest

  • Coming to a downtown corner soon….Sagrado will open in former Fuzzy’s spot on University Parks. Owned by the family behind El Mar Seafood, you know it’s going to be good.

  • Waco loves a new restaurant unlike anywhere else. Jorge’s Cantina experienced this first hand two weekends ago as they opened their doors to over 2,300 people.

  • Closed: After 20 years Waco Consignment Furniture closed its doors due to rising rent costs.

  • Amnesty for parking tickets. Last year Judge Bobby Garcia introduced an amnesty from arrest warrants for unpaid tickets this month and will waive fees or set up payment plans for anyone facing financial hardship. Last year 2,770 warrants were cleared. 🚙
