🚲 Waco Rolls Forward: New Bike Lanes & E-Bike Revolution!
E-Bike Central is now open at 112 Mary Avenue (formerly Bicycle World), Waco’s first electric bike shop. This comes alongside new bike lanes on University Parks Drive, Austin Avenue, Franklin Avenue, 19th St, and the Brazos River Trail.
Owner Kelly Mitcham, a Temple resident, found e-biking after a heart attack and triple bypass surgery in 2021. Struggling to regain strength, his best friend suggested an e-bike, rekindling his joy of riding. Kelly now shares his passion for freedom and adventure with Waco. 🏈Baylor Football The Bears finished the regular season strong with a dominant 45-17 win over Kansas, securing six consecutive victories after a challenging 2-4 start. Quarterback Sawyer Robertson threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns, while freshman Bryson Washington became the first freshman in program history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season.
🏀Baylor Women's Basketball Breaks Record Fifth-year senior Sarah Andrews set the school all-time 3-point record with her 259th career 3-pointer, leading Baylor to a dominant 98-54 victory over Louisiana Tech. Aaronette Vonleh scored a season-high 22 points, while Jada Walker, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, and Bella Fontleroy all recorded double-doubles.
🏀Baylor Men's Basketball Highlights Baylor will headline the 2024 Big 12-Big East Battle, traveling to face the two-time defending champion UCONN Huskies on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 PM CST. This will be the first meeting between the programs since 1965.
🏐Baylor Volleyball Earns NCAA Tournament Seed The Bears were selected as the No. 4 seed in the Lower Right Regional for the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship. This marks their ninth-straight tournament appearance, and they will host Wofford, South Carolina, and Dayton at the Ferrell Center.
