🎶 Waco Spotlight: Levitt AMP Waco Music Series
Looking for the perfect midweek hangout in Waco? The Levitt AMP Waco Music Series is the place to be! Every other Wednesday evening through May 28, Bridge Street Plaza transforms into a lively community block party with free live music, a bustling farmers market, food trucks, and all-around good vibes.
This Wednesday’s event brings even more fun:
🎶 Rachel Guest will lead a mini dance class — and she’s giving away free dance costumes for kids!
📚 Chief Victorian will be on hand sharing her new children’s book, with copies available to buy and get signed.
🎺 King Cabbage Brass Band closes the night with their high-energy jazz fusion party
Eric Linares, Project Manager at Creative Waco, shared, “The energy this spring has been incredible. Every week feels like a big community gathering. We’ve got families, friends, and neighbors all coming together to enjoy music and celebrate Waco’s vibrant creative scene.”
The series, presented by Creative Waco, has quickly become one of the best ways to enjoy a midweek escape. “It’s the perfect place to grab local goods from the farmers market, hear some amazing music, and just relax in the heart of downtown Waco,” Eric added.
This year, the collaboration with the farmers market has made the event even more lively and connected. “Having fresh, local food right there adds a whole new element to the experience,” Eric explained. And with such a diverse music lineup, there’s truly something for everyone.
First-time visitors should know: “Come hungry, bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and be ready for a good time. It’s a super laid-back, family-friendly vibe. Plus, it’s BYOB, and Brotherwell Brewing is right next door if you want some local craft beer!”
It’s the perfect way to break up your week with great music, good food, and a strong sense of community.

Waco Gems 💎
This week’s Waco Gem is Inspiring Orphan Care Anna Cheri Foundation — a local nonprofit with a beautiful mission: helping families fund adoptions and inspiring more people to step into orphan care around the world.
Born from the founders' own adoption journey, the Anna Cheri Foundation raises awareness about the global orphan crisis and provides financial scholarships to families answering the call to adopt. Their goal? To help as many children as possible find their forever families.
Want to support their work?
Join them this Saturday, May 3, for Run for the Roses, a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser at the Baylor Club! Expect Southern fare, a silent auction, prizes for best dressed and best hat, and a chance to wager for a good cause — all while watching “the greatest two minutes in sports.” 🎉🏇

PSA: Early Voting is Open!
Here at the Waco Buzz, we skip the politics, the car wrecks, and the mugshots — but we do believe that one of the best things about Waco is the people who step up to serve in public office. An informed community is a strong one, and voting is how we help shape the future of our hometown.
Early voting for city and school elections is happening today with Election Day on Saturday, May 3.
Cities like Waco, Woodway, and Bellmead — and school districts like Waco ISD and Robinson ISD — all have important local races on the ballot. Bring your ID, cast your vote, and be part of what’s next for Waco. 👉More Information and voting locations.
