🐝 STATE CHAMPS + MOVIE CASTING CALL
Helping you love Waco one newsletter at a time.

Good morning, Waco! This is the Waco Buzz, the local newsletter that’s all about turning old things new, grey skies blue, and helping you start your day on the right note. Just like Forrest Frank says, “It’s a good day.”
In today’s edition:
Midway Baseball Wins State ⚾
Concerts, Trivia, and Events this week 🎶
Baylor Sports Camp Lineup 🐻
Last week I asked which local passport you'd actually want to use, think punch card meets city adventure, and after 200 votes, here’s what came out on top:
🥇 The Taco Passport and 💕 Date Night Passport ran away with it.
So we’re building both. Expect exclusive deals, a little city exploration, and a whole lot of flavor. Stay tuned for launch details. Only update for today is that I added a new link if you have an event to submit and another if you want to partner up with the Waco Buzz.
Let’s get to it!

Big Move in Commercial Real Estate 🏢

FreeFlight Systems, an avionics company that builds high-performance tech for everything from private jets to military aircraft, is taking over a major facility at 621 Texas Central Parkway, formerly the SSG call center.
The deal was closed by Reid Peevey Commercial, and here’s why it matters: FreeFlight’s move puts them right in the orbit of Waco’s growing aerospace scene, with close neighbors like L3 and SpaceX.
Big building. Big industry. Big momentum.
