🥶🥶A polar vortex is heading to the U.S. next week, bringing some seriously cold temps to Waco! Starting Sunday, January 5, temperatures will drop, with highs in the low 40s and lows dipping into the 20s. Expect breezy conditions and a maybe (🤞) snow or sleet mid-week. Bundle up and prepare for some chilly days ahead!

🌭 New Wienerschnitzel Coming to Waco! 🍟

A new Wienerschnitzel restaurant is coming to Waco, Texas, with an opening set for November 2025! Located at 305 S. Valley Mills Dr., this $1 million project will feature a 1,490-square-foot space with a drive-through and both indoor and outdoor seating. Construction will begin in February 2025, offering the Waco community a new fast-casual dining option as the city continues to grow and diversify its food scene. 🎄 Beloved Schmidt Family Christmas Lights Find a New Home!

Last month we reported that the Christmas Light utopia that has been the Schmidt house off of Hwy 84 is in it’s last year. Well, the lights will go on at Karem Shriners in Waco. The display will be open to visitors next holiday season. KXXV with more information.

Baylor Sports 🐻🐻

Baylor drops heartbreaker to LSU, basketball teams gear up for conference play 🏀🏈

In a hard-fought matchup, Baylor football came up short against LSU in the Kinder’s Texas Bowl last week. Despite a strong performance from the offense, key turnovers and defensive struggles proved costly in the 44–31 loss. The Bears finish the season with a 8–5 record (5th in the Big 12), setting the stage for offseason adjustments.

On New Year’s Eve, you packed Foster Pavilion for the free Baylor Men’s Basketball game against Utah where they dominated the Utes 81-56. It was great seeing so many of you at the game!
