Your full weekend rundown + local news you’ll actually care about.

Good morning, Waco! This is the Waco Buzz, the local newsletter that hits harder than that first blast of A/C when you walk into H-E-B.

  • Weekend Weather: Hot, sunny, and basically a sweat towel weekend. 😅

  • Weekend Event & Live Music Rundown 🎉

  • Open House: 2015 FM 935 🏡

Let’s get to it.

Buzzworthy News

Farewell, Valley Mills Overpass 🚧
It’s official: the overpass connecting Valley Mills to northbound I-35 is no more. As part of the My35 Waco South project, it’s being replaced with a diverging diamond intersection (aka a DDI), which TxDOT says will cut crashes by up to 50%.
Wacoans are already mourning the change with some calling it “the best rollercoaster view in town.” 😂 Construction is targeting completion in two years. 🤞

🚀 Waco Buzz Jobs: A Smarter Way to Hire & Get Hired (Coming Soon)

What Would You Say You Do Here Office Space GIF

Forget the endless scroll. Forget mass applying. Forget wondering if anyone’s even reading your resume.

I’m looking at building something better than a job board, a highly curated list of quality roles at companies that are actually worth your time.
All right here in Waco.

Think: marketing leads, sales managers, media roles, and open positions at growing local companies. Real opportunities from people who actually live and hire here. But before I launch it, I want to hear from you:

  • If you've tried hiring locally, where do you feel the process breaks down—finding talent, sorting through applications, or something else?

  • What would make a Waco-specific job board actually useful?

  • What roles are the hardest to fill in your company right now?

Hit reply to this email and let me know. Your feedback will shape what I build next.
