Everybody Get HOT, HOT, HOT 🌡️

Well, that was fast. We just wrapped up one of the best weekends of the year, with mild temps and perfect skies, only to wake up and find ourselves smack dab in the middle of a full-blown heatwave. Waco’s signature weather style—hot and really hot—is back in full force, and it’s here to stay this week. Everyone will be talking about it today, from work to school: We went straight from sweater weather to summer sizzle. Looks like we’re skipping spring entirely—get ready for the heat friends. 🌞

To keep your home cool during this heatwave, start with two simple steps: Change your A/C air filter to improve airflow and help your A/C unit not work too hard. If you haven’t had a tune-up in a while, calling a professional for a quick check-up might just be the best way to avoid a breakdown in the middle of the heat. Fill out this form to get an A/C refresh scheduled.

🎤 Foster Pavilion Adds Another Headliner to Its Lineup! 🎭
Foster Pavilion continues to live up to its promise of bringing top-tier entertainment to Waco. After the massive success of Forest Frank and the upcoming Lauren Daigle concert, they've now announced another big name: Baylor alum Jeff Dunham! His Artificial Intelligence tour will hit the stage on October 3 at 7:30 p.m., the night before the highly anticipated Baylor-Kansas State football game. This show is just one of many exciting non-Baylor events planned as part of the venue’s commitment to hosting 10 such shows by the end of 2026. Ticket information here.

Kermit Oliver Goes to Galveston 🖼️
If you're planning a beach trip to Galveston this summer, be sure to visit the Bryan Museum for an extraordinary exhibit featuring Waco's own Kermit Oliver. Not only was Oliver a dedicated Waco mailman for 30 years, but he's also the only American to ever design products for the luxury brand Hermès. His work, celebrated for its vivid depictions of Texas wildlife and folklore, is showcased in "Kermit Oliver & Hermès: Storytelling on Silk & Canvas," on display through June 29. It’s a perfect stop to immerse yourself in local art history while enjoying the beach! Read more about the exhibit.
