Flu Hitting Waco Hard—3rd Highest in the U.S.

If it feels like everyone you know is sniffling, coughing, or canceling plans, you’re not imagining things. Waco currently has the third highest number of new flu cases in the country. Health officials recommend washing hands often, staying hydrated, and getting plenty of rest to stay healthy. Keep those tissues handy, Waco!

Fire Chief Resigns—What It Means for Waco

Waco Fire Chief Scott Walker has resigned, effective immediately. The city hasn’t said much yet about what comes next aside from appointing an interim director while a national search is conducted.. What does this mean for us? Hopefully, a smooth transition and continued top-tier emergency response. We’ll keep an eye on what’s next for the department.
